Light Sources

4th Class have been learning all aout light and light sources. They learned the difference between natural and artifical sources of light. They carried out a number of different experiements on light. Below is an example of how to create white light.

Static Electricity

1st Class completed an experiment looking at static electricity. The smaller the ghost the greater the chance of it flying !! 

Magnetism
Mrs. OSullivan’s class were learning about magnets today. They found some interesting things that were attracted to magnets.

Tom Crean- Polar Explorer
While learning about Tom Crean local polar explorer 4th Class asked a real life polar explorer into the class to tell them all about the extreme conditions Tom had to endure on a daily basis. Anthony has been to the North Pole 22 times. He showed us what a person has to wear in the North and South Poles and shares some of his personal experiences with us. It was so interesting to ask all of other geography and science questions about the poles for Anthony to answer.
