Marbling After learning about different woodland creatures in SESE, 4th class used them as inspiration. They completed an art lesson looking at marbling, using marbling ink in water and look at the science behind it-the paints float on the water as they are less dense that the water. The children created their own designs. Then, they drew their own woodland silhouette and attached it on to marbling art piece. They were all very impressed with how their art turned out.
1st Class-Absorbent vs. non-absorbent 1st class investigated whether different materials had absorbent or non-absorbent properties. They looked at materials such as kitchen towel, tinfoil etc.
6th Class- Foods of the World
6th Class completed projects on different countries involved in the Rugby World Cup. As part of their projects they had to pick a particular dish associated with that country, make it at home and bring it in to school to bring it in to give the class a chance to taste these foods.
