For Science Week 2022 a few of the classes hosted their own Science Expo in their own classrooms for their classmates. They demonstrated various science experiments which they researched and carried out by themselves or in small groups.
4th Class Science Expo
For science week, Ms Olivia O’Shea’s 4th class hosted their own science fair and presented their own researched experiment to the class. Each child explained what steps they followed and the results of their experiments. A lot of fun and learning took place. We had fireworks in a jar, coke and mentos chemical reaction, making slime, obleek and playdough and investigating how to filter dirty water and how carbon dioxide is created in the chemical reaction between an acid and a base. All the children really enjoyed it and showed great teamwork and creativity. Great fun and mess was enjoyed.
6th Class Science Expo
Ms Debbie Moriarty’s 6th class pupils did science experiments in class today as part of science week. We had experiments looking at making elephant toothpaste and lava lamps to name just a few. Well done to all who took part.
